Baby Update
Baby Hirschi is now "engaged" in the birth canal. My Dr. did give me the go ahead to go to Utah this weekend (though we chose not to last minute) so she musn't have been too worried about me going into labor this weekend. Anyway, we'll see! I am now 36weeks exactly, and Jeremiah was born at 36weeks and 6days.... hmm... unfortunately my Dr. is off next weekend... :( I'm a little worried.
The best day of the month
Friday, August 22 was baby birthing day in our circle of loved ones. My sister in law Kristina was scheduled to be induced that day so we were already planning on one nephew.... then my sister Amber was admitted that morning as well, yes, two nephews on the same day. I kept joking that I was the only one missing, and that I'd better get cracking if we wanted to go 3 for 3. Yeah, it didn't happen. :) I'm okay with that. THEN this morning I got an email saying that one of my best friends from high school, Jenn, had had her baby boy yesterday too! Those were the three people I knew who had due dates near mine and they're all happily snuggling with their bundles of joy already! So we have Horatio Smith (real first name is yet to be determined) born at 2:55 Ohio time, weighing 7lbs12oz, 20.5 in. long. Ashton Martin Gollaher born at 4:45 Utah time, weighing 7lbs8oz., 20 in. long. WooHoo! Now I guess it's my turn. We'll see how many weeks I have left. I am so happy for Kristina, Amber and my friend Jenn. Congratulations!
Baby Update
We had an ultrasound today and everything is fine with baby hirschi. She's measuring spot on, fluid levels are good, placenta looks good, and I've got the green light to continue as usual. Greg decided that this girl just likes getting her picture taken. :) Either that, or our OB gets a kick-back from the ultrasound technician. :) Thank you for your prayers. They are much appreciated.

Baby Update
This will be a fast post:
I had another Dr's appt. today, and I lost a centimeter. It might have been explained if the baby had dropped again, only further this time, but my Dr. checked and she hadn't, SOOOO, she's sending me in for an ultrasound. During the ultrasound they will be able to more precisely measure the babies growth and figure out why they're not able to measure the growth the way they normally do. Hopefully they will be able to fit me in tomorrow. I will post again when we know more. Your prayers would be appreciated. I'm sure everything will work out just the way it should.

Father And Sons Campout, Etc.
This past week Jeremiah had his friend Izzie over for the day. Izzie's mom wasn't feeling too hot, so we got a full day of older kid fun! Jeremiah loves it when he gets to play with Izzie because she teaches him such fun ways to play with things! Like building forts our of couch cushions!!! :) This was their creation:

Another favorite past-time is finding every pillow in the house, throwing them down the stairs and making a pillow fort. It keeps him entertained for at least twenty minutes.

There is something in this picture that doesn't belong... can you guess what it is?
Yes, when I put Jeremiah down for his nap he wasn't in the mood for sleeping, but was keenly interested in paying under the baby crib. So I gave him a blanket, said goodnight and left the room. A few minutes later he had climbed out, gathered the rest of his blankets and stuffed animals and gone back under the crib for a nice nap. Unfortunately when he did end up waking up he was a bit disoriented so he was crankier than usual. Luckily it hasn't happened since.
Greg took Jerem on the father and sons campout this weekend. Here are the pictures they came back with:
Panning for gold: some of the men had a good time, sorry, no pictures of Greg, he was behind the camera the whole time.
This was Jeremiah "panning for Gold: he came home talking about rocks... now I know what he was trying to tell me about.

Notice what Jeremiah's pants looked like at the beginning of his adventures at the creek.
Then came the throwing of the rocks into the creek, Greg said this was his favorite activity of the morning.

Notice Jeremiah's lovely pants? Now a bit darker shade of brown. :) They are soaking right now, I'm trying to save them from permanent staining.

Baby Hirschi Update
For those who want to stay updated:
I had another Dr's Appt today and I grew three centimeters, so no worries about not growing. No threats of bedrest or induction, I didn't even have to have an ultrasound. I'm good to go for at least another week! :) Baby Hirschi is growing and very active. Her feet have recently found a cozy spot underneath my right rib, and have been staying there for most of the time during the day at least. It doesn't hurt, just makes me feel a little cramped. My midwife is fantastic, by the way, I love her, so if anyone is looking to a referral up in Boise.....

Greg's phone pictures
Greg sent me all the pictures he has taken on his phone recently, so I thought I'd post some of them. First are pictures of Jeremiah at Chuck-E-Cheeses where Greg took him for some "boy time" one saturday when I really needed a break (I have the greatest husband ever).

It has been a long time since the infant car seat has been used and it needed a good cleaning, so Jeremiah was helping me put everything back together. He is a great buckler!

A few weeks ago we had a big company BBQ at Greg's bosses house. They had "pony rides" on their horses, great food, tennis, beach volley ball, a swimming pool and a few big blow up toys for the kids (and the adults). Jeremiah was intrigued with the horses but did NOT want to ride one at first, but once he saw all the other kids doing it he patiently waited his turn and didn't want to get off! He loved it. He is still asking to go back to "Mike's House!" to ride the horses.

Here are a few of Jeremiah in the big jumping house thing, I don't know what you call it. He spent almost an hour in there running around and falling down. It was great fun. And you can bet I had to go in there with him. He labeled me the "monster" so I chased him around.

These are pictures of Greg letting Jeremiah drive the car. I was wondering why he has started trying to climb up into the front seat when I unbuckle him from the car seat.... hmmm...

Last but not least, this is our family home evening trip to the dairy queen I think for ice cream cones. This is the first time Jeremiah ever got to eat his own, it was WAY to big for him and he wasn't a very good or clean eater. Luckily they gave us a wet wash rag to clean him up before we went home.

Okay, for those of you who are bored, and wish you could effect the order of the universe by voting on silly little polls (like me), it's your turn to try and guess when Baby Hirschi will be joining our family. Here is a little background info:
Due Date: September 27
Jeremiah's Due Date: July 20
Jeremiah's Birth Day: June 28
Good luck guessing! Just FYI, if you guess over my due date I will forever blame you if you are right. :)

More Jeremiah, Pregnancy, and CFA
Yes, these are my retarded "prego" pictures that Greg took yesterday. I know, I look retarded and you can see how big my butt is in those pants, but give me a break, it's hard to find pants that are really comfy when you are big and pregnant.

Okay, I was craving chocolate, so I made brownies at 8:30 at night.... and I love how you can totally tell that my garments don't even cover my belly button! Oh well, only a few weeks left.
One of Jeremiah's favorite things: Mickey Mouse Marching. Yup, with KNIVES (the plastic ones from our picnic set, I'm not that bad of a mother). Jeremiah requests the marching song, which is the Mickey Mouse Club theme song. He marches around in a circle in our living room for HOURS!!! And wears himself out completely (which I love). You can just hear him telling all the nursery kids "My mommy lets me play with knives!"
This is during nap time, I went through our bedtime routine, reading him books, singing a couple songs and kissing him goodnight, he was pretty quiet for a long time, but I could tell that he hadn't fallen asleep yet. About an hour into nap time I go up to check on him. This is what I found:
He opened the bottom drawer, pulled all the blankets out of it, and used it as a step stool to get up into the top drawer where I keep a small box with pacifiers for the new baby, baby medicine, lotion, travel size baby shampoo, etc. Yup, He got it all out. I'm lucky all the medicine has kid-proof lids, although He did manage to unscrew the cap for some baby shampoo :) Ahh, don't we love our children!
CFA Level 1 Exam Results are In: Greg passed! WOO HOO!!!! And all it took was a stack of books over 2 feet high and several hundred hours of studying. It was a second full-time job for the last month or two. And what does he get for passing this very difficult exam? He gets to take #2!!! And what does he get if he passes #2? He gets to take #3! Three years of studying all to call himself a charter financial analyst. But we are very grateful that he passed, otherwise he would get to take #1 all over again. :) His buddy Paul passed as well so they get to study again for the next one. It's a good thing too, because Paul's wife Kelcey was going to kick him out of their house if he didn't, and he would have had to come live with us! :)...Jeremiah Update
At Amber's baby shower back in March I won a prize - bubble bath paint. We broke it out the other day and Jeremiah LOVED it. It just so happened that he had been playing with one of my paint brushes before bath time and had insisted on taking the paint brush into the bath with him. Anyway, here are some pictures of him having a great time in the bath tub.

This isn't a good picture of it, but Jeremiah did a back flip off a bench at the park a few weeks ago and got a pretty good scrape on his head. this was about a week afterwards, so it looks pretty good. Our child seems to be accident prone. His legs are covered with bruises and he always has an Owie (i don't know how you would spell that word) that is healing. I swear, if I didn't know us better I would say we beat our child.
This is the worst of the owies that he has had lately. We were over at a friends house when Jeremiah slipped out the sliding door while they were putting to dogs out in the back yard. He sat down on the deck and started playing with one of the dogs chew toys. I think one of the dogs got jealous and started nipping at his toy trying to get it, Jeremiah pulled away from the dog, but into the grill that was sitting on the deck still hot from barbequeing. So, needless to say it blistered up pretty good and we just so happened to have a Dr's appt. the next day so we had the Dr. look at it. He said it would be fine, just to keep it clean and bandaged to avoid infection. This is what it looked like about a week later, sorry no pictures of the gigantic blister that covered 1/2 his forearm. Like I said: if I didn't know better I would say we abuse our child. He gets into trouble faster than I can stop him.
Now Jeremiah loves the "owie tape" that we wrap his arm with. it's not as cool as the bright blue wrap that the Dr put on, but its still cool to Jeremiah. Okay, so he doesn't look very excited in this picture, but thats okay.

This is Daddy teaching Jeremiah how to use a toothpick, or rather, just look so cool holding it in his mouth. Jeremiah does ANYTHING daddy does. He is such a copy cat!
