Birthday and fourth of July

Jeremiah's favorite sleep position, butt as high in the air as he can get it! This is him taking his Sunday afternoon nap after church. Lets just say that I wake up happier than he does most days.

On our first trip out of town WITHOUT the pack-n-play you'll see we made a nice little bed for Jeremiah in the corner next to me... but in the middle of the night he woke up and was climbing all over me. It wasn't that he didn't want to go back to sleep, but he wanted to sleep at the end of our bed instead. Greg, I guess, thought this moment was photo-worthy.

We were able to enjoy a great day at the park with the entire Curzon Family.... yes, even Curzon's that I have never met before, if that's possible. It was my great grandma Curzon's family. Jordan and Becca were able to come up with Addy and Addy and Jerem had a GREAT time staying cool in the two kiddy pools that were intended for water gun refilling for the water fight. Jordan (in the background) didn't spend much time chatting with the grown ups, but more time squirting the little kids with the water guns! They loved it and it kept them cool in 105 degree weather.

Enough of just playing with the water. Both Jeremiah and Addy decided it would be a lot easier if they just sat IN the pools... with all their clothes on of course. Good thing I brought an extra pair of clothes just in case.

Here are a few more pictures from Jeremiah's birthday party. Angela became is 2nd favorite Hirschi relative.... 2nd to Bryan of course.

Back at our house for the 4th of July weekend Angela was still his favorite. Even with an entire week with Grandma Hirschi he still didn't exactly run to her, but it's okay. He has many years of sugar bribing to come to feel more comfortable with Grandma.

On the 4th we went to Ann Morrison Park for the big fireworks show and had a great time. Sorry we didn't get any pictures of it, we got video, but I haven't uploaded it yet. Jeremiah had a great time playing with a large beach ball we brought and with all the other little kids who were on neighbooring picnic blankets.
On the 5th, however, we decided to do our own fireworks. We went to the dentist office parking lot next door and did Jeremiah friendly "fireworks", which means snakes, flowers, sparklers, and pop-its. Jeremiah was scared of the sparklers and he wouldn't hold them in his hands until I helped him. He LOVED the pop-it's. Grandma kept the stash as incentive to come stand next to her. When he didn't throw them hard enough to pop he would walk over and stomp on them, when he missed them with his foot he would push them with his fingers until they popped.... we tried to discourage that. He didn't really care about the flowers or the snakes until after we had finished and Grandpa showed him how to break the snakes apart with the old sparkler sticks. That entertained him for about 1/2 hour, but got him VERY dirty.

I love this picture of his face. I took the picture JUST before he turned and ran in the opposite direction. He was kind of scared of the sparklers.

This is my first and only "pregnant" picture this time around. I realized that that shirt isn't very flattering... wow, neither are those pants!!! Well, here's to only 2 more months of maternity clothes!!
