The Coast

The place where ocean meets sand in Oregon is not called the beach, no one calls it that. We call it the coast. Because it's nothing like a beach, the place where you slip into your swimming suits and sun bathe and splash in the water and go swimming. No, on the coast you slip into your sweats, roll them up so they don't get wet when you dip your toes into icy cold water, and enjoy making sand castles until you can't feel your extremeties.
