On Saturday our Stake held a Family Fun Fair, with balloon animals (J requested a T-rex, Leah, a flower), snow cones, a cow train, etc. That morning they held a 5k race, and a 1k for the kids. Jeremiah was STOKED to run his first race. He practiced running at the park, through our house, around our house, anywhere he could think of. It was also GREAT motivation to get him to eat his less desirable vegetables ("asparagus and tomatoes help your body grow stronger and faster"). Greg ran with him so he wouldn't get lost, and they came in about middle of the pack. Afterwards he was complaining that his knees hurt and his quads, but he said "that race was so long, I was so awesome.". We are raising nothing but self-confident children. :)
