She's not gonna make it down the mountain

This is what our trusty car looked like after she head-butted a tree this weekend in the mountains, on her way home from camping with the scouts. The snow and ice had melted a bit by this point, but you can see, what I think are her tire tracks gradually headed off the road after hitting a small patch of ice.

Luckily, and thankfully, no one was hurt. A kind catholic man stopped, packed the scouts in his car, drove to where there was cell coverage and called a tow truck, and me, and then dropped the scouts off in town. Greg had to stay for a few hours until the tow truck could make it up there.

Our lovely car is totaled. She served us well for many years. And we smashed her to bits. Well… we didn't… Greg did.  But he's feeling good because it's been over 72 hours since he wrecked a car, so he's got a new streak going!

Wow! I'm so glad no one got hurt. Have you decided what kind of car you're going to get to replace it?
